We may have gotten the problems with the billing for the solder from ABI settled. Then again, we may not have. Which means it's still a pending hassle, and making it take ever more time to get the metal from them at the correct price- which adds expense and hassle- is not (shall we say) an advantage from my point of view. Time is, in fact, money, and the more time we spend dealing with suppliers to try to get materials at the correct price, the more it costs us. to use those materials. At this point, I think I would need to add at least a 50% surcharge over the usual costs to use metals from them- because it'll cost us that much to GET the stuff at the supposed price. Grr.
Apart from that, I've had a good day of work. I decided my approach to one commission wasn't working the way I wanted it to, and have re-started it. I've also been finishing a prototype ring for eventual sale and website display, and it's turning out quite nicely. Other bunches of this and that, of course, but I'm pleased with how a number of things are progressing.
